The mission of the Lindale Independent School District, together with families and community members, is to empower and inspire students to be lifelong learners, leaders of tomorrow and responsible citizens while supporting the commonly recognized, traditional, moral values and ethics of the Lindale community. Â

Mike Combs
LISD Board President
​
Mr. Combs was elected to the LISD board in 2006. He is married to his wife Rachel Combs of 39 years. He has two sons who are both LISD graduates and reside in Lindale, Texas. Mr. Combs retired from Target Corp after 25 years. He is the owner/manager of Combs Complete Lawn Care L.L.C in Lindale. Mr. Combs has served on the advisory board for the Boys and Girls Club of Lindale, Penny Lane HOA Officers and currently is a Director of the Penny Lane HOA. Mr. Combs also serves on the TIF Board. Mr. Combs and his family are active members of the First Baptist Church in Lindale where he serves as Chairman of the Building and Grounds Committee.

Robert McGee
LISD Board Vice-President

Robert McGee and his wife, Donna, moved to Lindale in 1995. He has served on the LISD Board of Trustees since 2015. They have 2 children who attended LISD for K-12. Mr. McGee is a 1993 graduate of UT Tyler.
He has been employed in the healthcare IT industry since 1993. In addition, the McGee’s own and operate a local small business, Hideaway Storage. They are members of the Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce and the Texas Self Storage Association.

Brooks Beeler
LISD Board Member

Brooks Beeler attended Lindale ISD from kindergarten through his high school graduation in 1989. Brooks went on to graduate from Tyler Junior College with an Associate of Arts degree. He has been married to his wife Melissa for 28 years. They have four children who have all graduated from Lindale ISD. He is an account executive for a computer hardware and software reseller, and a partner in some family businesses. Mr. Beeler and his family are members of the First Baptist Church in Lindale.

Gary Camp
LISD Board Member
​
Gary was a 1975 graduate of Lindale High School and graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1979 with a degree in accounting. After beginning his career with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell, and Co. (now KPMG), Gary opened his office (Gary W. Camp, CPA) in Lindale in 1981. He and his high school sweetheart, Susan, have been married since 1976 and are both proud to call Lindale home. They are members at Mt Sylvan Baptist Church, where Gary teaches the Joy Sunday School class. In addition to the fellowship at MSBC, Gary is passionate about spending time with his family, especially with his five grandchildren. Gary was first elected to the Lindale ISD board of trustees in 1996.

Dr. Karen Gott
LISD Board Member
Dr. Karen Gott joined the Lindale ISD School Board in 2021. Dr. Gott and her family have been members of the Lindale community for 31 years. Both of her children attended K-12 at Lindale ISD. Dr. Gott is a dentistry practitioner, operating her practice in Lindale. Term: 2026
Ragan Burgess
LISD Board Member
Ragan Burgess and his wife, Christin, moved to the Lindale community in 2009. Together they have four children: Brystal, Ranger, Cavern, and Baron. Two of which currently attend LISD. Ragan and his wife are active members of FBC Lindale where he serves as an usher and a committee member. Ragan graduated from Tyler Junior College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Management. He is owner of Medders Brake & Alignment in Lindale. Ragan is a member of the Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce and the National Federation of Independent Businesses. He has served with the Lindale Baseball and Softball Association and the Lindale Youth Basketball League as a coach and
volunteer.

Daniel Deslatte
LISD Board Member
Daniel Deslatte was elected to the Lindale ISD Board of Trustees in 2024. He and his wife, Kaela, are the proud parents of two daughters who have attended Lindale schools since kindergarten. Daniel is a Deacon and Chairman of the Finance Committee at FBC Lindale and serves on several nonprofit and corporate boards of directors.
Mr. Deslatte is currently the Chief Business Officer at UT Tyler and has worked in finance and business in both healthcare and higher education. Prior to joining UT Health, Daniel spent a decade as senior staff in the Texas Legislature, working on issues of public finance, healthcare, and education.
He is a graduate of the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin, was named a Distinguished Alumnus of The University of Texas at Tyler, and is currently a doctoral candidate at Oklahoma State University.
